If you are looking for a blog to help you raise a child, I suggest you find a blog written by someone with a PhD in child psychology. If you want to read an advice blog on how to strengthen the bond with your daughter, I suggest you find a blog that has the words “chicken” and “soup” in the title. If you want an expert’s opinion on how to keep the marital spark alive after a baby’s been born, then I suggest you look for a blog written by Dr. Ruth. You won’t find any of that crap in this blog because I know very little about parenting or father/daughter relationships. I know even less about keeping the post-natal marital spark alive. What you will find in this blog are my experiences during my first year as a first-time father. From brining her home to the hospital to getting used to changing her diaper without feeling like a dirty old man to being shot down by my wife when I want to “snuggle” this is a blog about the ups and downs and everything in between. If you are already a father then you will be able to relate to some of my experiences. If you are about to become a father then you will have a frame of reference. If you are thinking about becoming a father then you will probably want to be neutered. Of course, if you are a woman reading this blog, maybe now you’ll have a better insight into what a terrifying, yet exhilarating, experience fatherhood – especially the first year – can be. So enjoy! Because for better or worse, this is my life as a father and husband…and there isn’t a moment of it that I would change.
I was scrolling through your blog and it is just the thing my husband needs after a long day at work and a couple hours with our 7-month old! Thank you for your honesty, i’m sure he can very much relate!
very interesting, but I don’t agree with you

I’ve enjoyed reading a few of your posts this evening. I write a parent education blog and would like to reach more of the dads out there. I’d love any tips that you have for doing that. Since you yourself said that you know very little about parenting, I’m inviting you to have a look. Also hoping you might consider adding me to your blogroll.
Thanks,
Emily
