My daughter, Anna Reese, was born today at 3:37 in the morning. She weighed 6 pounds and 4.6 ounces and was 20 inches long. As soon as she started to cry, I did too. I cried because of how beautiful she was; I cried because I am terrified about being a father; and I cried because, despite my best efforts, I saw her come out of my wife’s vagina.
